Updating A Family Room While On A Budget...

The change of seasons have a habit of giving us the urge to want to change the look of our most used and loved rooms in the home. Work with what you have. Here are some ideas on how to achieve a new look without having to spend a lot of money.
1. Move your existing furniture
Arrange the furniture you already have to create a conversational atmosphere. Borrow pieces from other rooms in the house. Moving your furniture is an easy way to give your room a new and interesting feel.

2. Paint
One of the most easiest and affordable ways to change the look of your family room is to choose a new color and paint those walls. Tired of those end tables, Paint them to bring new color into your room. Want drama, Just paint the ceiling a invigorating hue.
3. Pops of Color
Keeping neutral wall color and furniture opens a door to endless opportunities. Add seasonal color with pillow covers, throws and window treatments.

4. Add Life
Bring plants into the room... Snip a few branches and display in a vase to add color or plant some succulents in one of your favorite bowls that you already have to add a natural touch to your living room. Beautiful and purify the air too!
Bring new life into the room by covering upholstered furniture. Give your used but still sturdy furniture an updated style with new color and patterns.

6. Let there be light.
Bring out the beauty of your room by lighting up those dark corners. Add an extra lamp to see your living room in a new light.
7. Splurge
If you have it in your budget, add one new key accessorie to give your space an updated vibe. **An area rug in a fun and vibrant pattern would have an amazing impact on an otherwise neutral decor.
How do you affordably update your family room on a budget?
