Throw A Fun Mexican Fiesta For Cinco de Mayo!

The holiday of Cinco De Mayo, "The Fifth of May", commemorates the victory of the Mexicans over the French army at The Battle of Puebla in 1862. Now this celebration not only takes place in Mexico but around the world!

Tips and ideas for celebrating at home with family and friends:

If you can't be in Mexico to celebrate, why not throw your own Mexican party? The colors should be bright and the music upbeat and fun.(Mariachi bands and Salsa) Decorate your home with lots and lots of colorful streamers.(red, green and white) Don't forget the large colorful paper flowers.

As a centerpiece, place a sombrero in the center of the table and scatter red chili peppers around the brim. Greet your guests with a cocktail in hand and Mexican music playing. Have some small flowers for the ladies to wear in their hair. Kick it up with a bit of fun and end the party with a pinata!
