Hallways should be as beautiful as any room in your home!

Hallways are often overlooked as a space that needs design attention. Many say that these walkable routes from room to room can be quite challenging to decorate. With many being very narrow and others wide enough to be a room.

Squeeze some style into that narrow or wide hallway with a few of these decorating tips:

~ Console tables are narrow enough to fit this space, but not so narrow that they can’t be decorated with your charming and stylish home accents.

~ Add a gallery wall with your favorite family photos or art

~ Add a punch of color or pattern with a carpet runner, or for a monochromatic look keep the runner neutral.

~ The hallway is usually narrow and enclosed with no windows, Be sure to choose sufficient lighting. Add spotlights, a statement chandelier, flush mount lights or pendant lights.

~ Create a stylish focal point at the end of the hall, even if the end of the hallway is a doorway into a room.

~ Built in shelves are a beautiful way to display your favorite treasures or create a small library area.

~ Moulding is always a great way to add character and charm, Add wainscoting or board and batten.

Set the tone for the entire home. Give your hallway the same attention you would give your living room for that feel good flow! How do you deck your halls?
