Festive Fall Decorating

Have you begun to gather your ideas for your new seasonal decor as Summer comes to an end and Autumn begins?

Autumn colors are at the top of my list for my favorite things about the Fall season. Bring new color into your existing palette. Think Autumn with vibrant reds, chocolate brown, shades of green, golden yellow and splashes of orange. Restyle existing furniture with slipcovers in one of these fun fall colors or change up a few throw pillows, table accessories, window treatments and accent rugs for a high-impact yet keeping it budget friendly with low-investment.

Restyle your furniture and create a cozy atmosphere when you makeover existing furniture pieces with the Stretch Pinstripe Separate Seat Slipcover in Taupe. (many other colors and styles available)

Use natural elements from whats readily available from nature to create festive accessories to include in your decor. They are free and easily add the perfect style, color and feel of the harvest season. Collect acorns, pinecones, leaves and branches that have fallen from trees. Visit your local farmers market or pumpkin patch for all the traditional elements of the season... Fresh fruit, corn stalks, bale of hay, pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn and cinnamon sticks.

Look no further than your own backyard to create a simple and sweet fall centerpiece.

Ornamental grasses dress up a plain staircase for fall. Bundle bunches of the grasses together, secure with a rubber band and tie to every other baluster on your staircase with raffia. via Better Homes and Gardens

Add cozy and casual touches with twine and burlap wrapped branches from the outdoors. Drape furniture with cozy blankets and throws, Light candles to add warmth and fill your home with your favorite aromas of Fall.

Ensure your warmth around the dinner table by using blankets instead of a tablecloth. This table is decked out in a floor-sweeping quilt and a shorter knit afghan adds another additional layer of cozy style.

Add or relocate chairs to create a conversational setting. Super cozy around a fireplace if you have, or in an unused corner with a shared ottoman and small side table to lay your warm mugs of tea or hot cocoa.
