Summer Fun... Ways To Beat The Heat With Your Family!

Hit The Beach:
Many fun activities to keep the family going all day long! Plan a vacation or just head out for the day! Stay cool jumping some waves in the ocean. Bring your sand toys, the beach is the perfect place to work on your sand castle building skills. Bring a frisbee to toss around, the sand is perfect for a toss of frisbee. . Be sure to re-apply sun screen periodically, sun burn can easily ruin a good time. Pack a picnic lunch with plenty of fresh water to drink.

Visit your local zoo:
Exciting outing for the family and very educational too. Look into your local zoo and inquire what programs may be available for your children.

Create Your Own Backyard Water Fun:
Get Creative... If you already have a pool, that's perfect! If not, pull out the sprinklers for the kids to run through and cool off! Pick up a few inflatable pools to fill up and some water squirt guns. Have fun with water balloons, there are many toss games to play together.  Have some ice cold lemonade that is easily accessible and roast some hot dogs on the grill! Invite the kids from the neighborhood over for a fun day!

Plan An Air Conditioned Outing:
 While summer is a great time to be outdoors, sometimes you just need a break from the heat! Find out what museums or indoor fun parks are in your area. Check on their entrance fees and if they have any coupons or free days. Children's museums will keep their minds active, many have wonderful hands-on activities.
~Go to the movies... In the summer months there are usually a few theaters that have free children's matinees with our kids in mind.
~Attend story time at your local library or just visit so the kids can pick out some new interesting reads to keep their minds active over the summer.

Fun activities to do from the comfort of your home:
~Plan a fun Movie Day at home! Grab a movie from your nearest redbox for one dollar and pick up the traditional Movie favorites... popcorn, candy, and soda pop! Send the afternoon in your Pj's!
~Bake a cake together and let their imaginations flow as they get creative with decorating.
~Have a make your own sundae day! Many flavors of ice cream with some hot fudge and candy toppings!
~Have a Board Game Day... Spend the afternoon playing your favorites and all time classics.
~Make Tie-dye Shirts... Supplies located at your local craft store.

Go to a camp ground for the weekend or evening and just enjoy some bonding time with family and nature! I a campground doesn't work for your schedule, pitch a tent in the backyard and build a fire in the fire pit. Flashlights And S'mores Are In Order!
